CVE-2024-50086

Linux Linux, linux kernel

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ksmbd: fix user-after-free from session log off There is racy issue between smb2 session log off and smb2 session setup. It will cause user-after-free from session log off. This add session_lock when setting SMB2_SESSION_EXPIRED and referece count to session struct not to free session while it is being used.

The CVSS severity warrants an early asset and exposure review.

CVE-2024-50074

Linux Linux, linux kernel, enterprise linux

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: parport: Proper fix for array out-of-bounds access The recent fix for array out-of-bounds accesses replaced sprintf() calls blindly with snprintf(). However, since snprintf() returns the would-be-printed size, not the actually output size, the length calculation can still go over the given limit. Use scnprintf() instead of snprintf(), which returns the actually output letters, for addressing the potential out-of-bounds access properly.

The CVSS severity warrants an early asset and exposure review.

CVE-2024-20481

Cisco Adaptive Security Appliance (ASA) and Firepower Threat Defense (FTD)

A vulnerability in the Remote Access VPN (RAVPN) service of Cisco Adaptive Security Appliance (ASA) Software and Cisco Firepower Threat Defense (FTD) Software could allow an unauthenticated, remote attacker to cause a denial of service (DoS) of the RAVPN service. This vulnerability is due to resource exhaustion. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by sending a large number of VPN authentication requests to an affected device. A successful exploit could allow the attacker to exhaust resources, resulting in a DoS of the RAVPN service on the affected device. Depending on the impact of...

CVE-2024-50066

Linux Linux, linux_kernel, linux kernel

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: mm/mremap: fix move_normal_pmd/retract_page_tables race In mremap(), move_page_tables() looks at the type of the PMD entry and the specified address range to figure out by which method the next chunk of page table entries should be moved. At that point, the mmap_lock is held in write mode, but no rmap locks are held yet. For PMD entries that point to page tables and are fully covered by the source address range, move_pgt_entry(NORMAL_PMD, ...) is called, which first takes rmap locks, then does move_normal_pmd(). move_normal...

CVE-2024-9050

Red Hat Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7.7 Advanced Update Support, Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7 Extended Lifecycle Support, Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8

A flaw was found in the libreswan client plugin for NetworkManager (NetkworkManager-libreswan), where it fails to properly sanitize the VPN configuration from the local unprivileged user. In this configuration, composed by a key-value format, the plugin fails to escape special characters, leading the application to interpret values as keys. One of the most critical parameters that could be abused by a malicious user is the `leftupdown`key. This key takes an executable command as a value and is used to specify what executes as a callback in NetworkManager-libreswan to retrieve configuration...
